Dear Robert,
Please accept my apology for this long overdue letter. My plan had been to write and tell you what a pleasure it was to meet you many weeks ago when Mary Ann introduced us and how impressed I was with your magnificent work that was on display. I was also most grateful that you accepted the commission to design and construct the cabinets for my new home on St. Andrews Circle.
I have just returned from a three day visit to Oxford and while I was there, the cabinetry was being placed in the kitchen. It was such a good experience to see the care and pride that your workmen were taking in the installation. Most important, though, was the beauty and quality of the end product. I must admit Robert, I have never seen such beautiful work and pieces of art. I am most fortunate to have your talent as part of my new home and I will share this with others with the same amount of pride that you have so humbly expressed in your gift of art.

I write to let you know that I have accepted a teaching position at the University of North Carolina for next fall and will not be returning to the University of Mississippi.
